現在、開催に向けて絶賛準備を進めているYAPC::Tokyo 2026に、Perlの生みの親・Larry Wall氏が参加することになりましたので、皆さまにお知らせいたします！
スペシャルゲスト：Larry Wallさん
Larry made Perl! Before that he helped get the Open Source movement going with programs like rn, metaconfig, and patch. Larry worked at various jobs but especially enjoyed his time in the space program at Jet Propulsion Laboratory where Perl 4 got its start. With Randal Schwartz he wrote the best-seller Programming Perl, the first computer book that dared to be funny. Over the years he has nurtured a community of people to make Perl better and more useful, eventually leading to Perl 6, which was different enough to be renamed Raku. Now Larry is retired, with far too many hobbies to do any of them well, but mostly he's just happy the Perl and Raku teams are still working to make the world a better place.
Larry Wall氏のYAPC::Japanへの参加は、前身である「YAPC::Asia Tokyo 2015」（2015年8月20日〜22日開催）以来、初となります。詳細については続報をお待ちください！！
